Jamia Aale Abba was founded by local community in 2014, the project took 3 years and, was ready up and running in 2017.
The community centre was built in the heart of Maindee, Newport. This was built so people in Newport had somewhere to go. The centre was a place for community to unite and to help each other whether this was a social gathering or to gain education on various subjects which are currently being run by the centre (see other services).
